Gentle chiropractic techniques with intuitive presence
At Root & Flow Chiropractic, care is personal, intentional, and deeply attuned. This is a space where your nervous system can soften, your body can relax, and healing unfolds gently. Through individualized, heart-centered chiropractic care, we honor your body’s innate wisdom and create room for true alignment.
We are a cash-based practice so your care can remain personal and individualized—not dictated by insurance policies. This allows for transparent pricing, unhurried appointments, and treatment plans designed around your unique needs and health goals.
If you have out-of-network benefits, we’re happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company.
Your initial exam is a time for us to truly listen and get to know you. We will begin with a conversation about your health history, current concerns, and health goals so I can understand the full picture of how your body has been adapting over time. I will then perform a physical exam which may include a postural assessment, range of motion testing, orthopedic and neurological tests, and chiropractic palpation to identify areas of joint restriction or dysfunction. If clinically indicated, we can discuss imaging and refer out if necessary.
Initial Comprehension Exam
A gentle and specific manipulation is performed on joints that have become restricted (often from stress, posture, injury, or repetitive patterns.). It helps restore healthy motion to that area in the spine or extremity. This can help reduce tension, improve mobility and support better overall function. It’s not about “forcing bones back into place.” It’s about helping your body move more freely so it can work the way it was designed to do.
Chiropractic Adjustment
A technique that is used to treat tight, irritated muscles and trigger points (knots.) A very thin, sterile needle is gently inserted into specific areas of muscle tension to help release tight bands and improve blood flow.
Dry Needling
Kinesiology Taping
A gentle technique that uses flexible, elastic tape applied to the skin to support muscles and joints without restricting movement. The tape helps improve circulation, reduce swelling, decrease pain, and enhance body awareness by lifting the skin and encouraging proper muscle function. It’s commonly used to support healing from injuries, improve posture, and provide stability during activity.
Reiki
An energy-based healing practice that supports the body’s natural ability to restore balance and heal. I place my hand’s lightly on or above the body to help calm the nervous system and encourage physical, emotional, and energetic alignment. It is very relaxing and grounding and help reduce stress, ease tension, and support healing.
Nutritional recommendations
I can support you in building a nourishing and sustainable relationship with food that honors both your body and lifestyle. We can create realistic and personalized strategies to help you feel your best using whole foods and easy tracking systems. My approach will be supportive, non-restrictive and rooted in long term wellness so you can feel confident in your daily choices without feeling overwhelmed.
Cranialsacral technique (CST)
A gentle hands-on technique created by John Upledger at the Upledger Institute. CST is a complementary treatment that can help release tensions deep in the body to help reduce pain, relieve dysfunction, and improve whole-body health and performance. Using light, intentional touch, I assess and ease restrictions within the cranio-sacral system--the membranes and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord which can help the nervous system shift out of stress and into a state of rest and repair. Sessions last about an hour in a quiet and grounding environment.
